Spain is HOT right now and we don’t mean because it is summer! Investments are on the up on property in Spain, but why are people buying here again?
1) Good value
Property prices are beginning to creep back up, although not to the crazy pre-crisis levels, but there are still great bargains if you know where to look. Though few bank repossessions remain in areas such as Marbella, many properties are still very attractively priced.
2) It’s easy to get here
The Costa del Sol is easily accessible from almost anywhere in Europe by a full service of airline routes. Málaga airport is an hour away from most of the Costa del Sol, and train services are expanding all the time, including high-speed trains to Madrid and many other major cities in Spain. The road network is highly convenient too, with accessible motorways connecting the entire region.
3) Quality of life
Family is everything in Spain, where life is centred around enjoyment yet education and healthcare are first class. There are multiple options for schooling for children plus the benefit of living a much more outdoor life that makes people happier and healthier. Children are welcome everywhere, as the different generations interact together in a lively social street scene that makes Spain one of the friendliest countries in the world.
4) The food is amazing
Not only is Spanish cuisine among the best and healthiest in the world, it’s inexpensive too. You can enjoy a three course meal in a restaurant for ten euros a head, or plates of tapas for one euro each, and they are even free with your drink in some places, while it is also possible to savour haute cuisine in the many glamorous dining spots.
5) The weather
It goes without saying that the climate in Spain is a large draw. Sunshine makes you happy and Spain has around 300 days of the hot stuff every year. The warm summers and mild winters mean we can use our outside spaces and enjoy the beautiful countryside and sports facilities all year round.
