A record breaking exhibition has opened in Málaga yesterday where the public has the chance to view the works of Vincent Van Gogh in a new and incredible format.
‘Van Gogh Alive’ is an extraordinary temporary exploration of the Dutch artist’s work that magically transports visitors back into the post-impressionist world, literally to ‘another time and place’. The experience employs ‘SENSORY4 technology’, a state-of-the-art multimedia format that allows art enthusiasts to absorb Van Gogh’s work in unbelievably fine detail.
The show invites participants to ‘forge their own paths and find their own meaning’ as they are taken on ‘a virtual journey through Arles, Saint Rémy and Auvers-sur-Oise’, the places where Van Gogh created many of his masterpieces. Attendees will be immersed within the colour and technique of more than 3,000 pictures presented on a truly enormous scale upon giant screens, the ceiling and the floor.
This multisensory experience, which has already visited Sevilla and Madrid, has broken the record number of visitors for this type of show and is the world’s most visited multimedia exhibition.
